To offer you an edge on your competition, our Design Management team is driving around your new home community’s neighborhood and shopping your competitors’ new home communities. We are performing a custom analysis of nearby homes’ successes or failures with floor plans, applied detail treatments, lifestyle themes, furnishings and finishes. During the bidding process, we want to make informed decisions on what your buyer really wants, and how you can set your homes part from the ones down the street. - We have more furniture and accessory manufacturers that offer high quality furniture at lower prices, with local distribution to cut freight costs. We’re do this to better hold down the costs of your furniture and accessories, so we can pass along the savings to our builder clients!
- Transfers and Furniture Sale Options
- In the midst of today’s changing economy, we’ve opened our ears to listen to our clientele because we want honest feedback on what you need. A pattern has emerged over our conversations with resounding clarity – you want options! Choices. Flexibility. Adaptability. We gotcha covered! Kay Green Design has recently released our response to your requests.
- TRANSFER: After your models have sold out all the homes in your community, and you are ready to open your new model home community, you can hire us to take inventory of your current models (whether we merchandised them or not) and fit them into your new homes for a fresh look and lifestyle custom tailored to that community’s target buyer.
- FURNITURE RESALE: If you are a builder with 3-year old furniture in a model home that’s ready to close, but you want new furniture in the next model, we will load it all up, and take it all back to our Designer Warehouse for a weekend furniture sale. We’ll do the work for you, so you can start building your next new homes!

HOT off the press! We are very excited to be the only Merchandiser to present our Designer Details© to our clients who are building homes for today’s savvy Do-It-Yourself handy home buyer. When your potential home buyers walk through a Kay Green Design merchandised home, your sales representatives will now be able to tell them, “You really can make your new house look just like the model home!” Our custom created Designer Detail instruction sheets outline every applied trim molding detail in your model home with a list of materials, measurements and step-by-step instructions for a successful replication. What a way to exceed your buyer’s desires and set yourself apart from your competition!
5. We Are Now Introducing Our Model Medic “Refreshes”
We are a relationship business. That means that after we install your model home, complete our punch-out list and send you the inventory… we’re not done! We want our interiors to look fresh for you until your community sells out. Give us a call several months – even years – after your model home grand opening and we will send a designer to your location for a free (or travel-expenses-only for non-Florida clients) “refresh” of your model home’s accessories. Have a model home that needs a little resuscitation? Call us and we’ll send out our Model Medic team!
6. We Will Come Back for a FREE Day with a Designer
Our marketing is YOUR marketing. It’s our goal to operate as a high-impact part of your marketing team, so selling your homes is our priority. Because of our devotion to your success, Kay Green brings her 35 years of interior design expertise to your Be-Back leads for an open house event. The Day with a Designer event is custom tailored for your buyers’ interests – a discussion on color trends, demonstration of kitchen appliances, and tour of your model home with merchandising concepts. Of course we like to make it FUN! In past events, Kay has hosted themed events for buyer prospects including a breakfast cooking class, holiday-themed handmade decorations and fundraiser for a local children’s non-profit organization.
